Avantika (AV) is the Broker/ Owner of HausAngeles, a leading source of Los Angeles focused real estate consulting and transaction services. Prior to founding HausAngeles, Avantika was a top producer with Keller Williams Realty Los Feliz where she was a member of the Regional Agent Leadership Council.

Born and brought up in Northern India, AV earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and worked at one of the leading architectural and city planning firms in India. She went on to gain strong marketing and design experience with J. Walter Thompson, India, where she successfully launched major brands including Ford Motors in India. In 1996 she came to UCLA for her Master’s in Architecture and has made Los Angeles her home since then.

Prior to real estate, AV enjoyed a very successful career in technology and marketing, where she headed the US Professional Services arm of a Global Software Company (Day Software) and built a profitable, customer centric, cohesive professional services group engaged in internet commerce, enterprise, and internet marketplace/exchange implementations.

A resident of Hollywood Hills, Avantika enjoys giving back to her community and served on the board of Outfest. In her free time, Avantika enjoys cooking and  spending time with her family and children. BRE#: 01443180


RaymanMathodaRay Mathoda, Co-Founder and Principal:

A well known industry thought-leader, Ray leads HausAngeles’ consulting  practice which is focused on loss mitigation, foreclosure prevention and affordable housing. Ray also consults with clients to analyze and discuss national and local real estate market trends and insights.

Ray was previously Chief Administrative Officer at Indymac Bank, a Top 10 US Thrift and Home Mortgage Lender, where she was responsible for all of the Company’s People and Expense related functions including Human Resources, Global Resources, Purchasing, Real Estate, Corporate IT and Culture/Communications. Prior to joining Indymac, Ray was a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Company, a global consulting firm, focused on resolving key Board and CEO-level strategic issues and designing/executing performance transformation programs at Fortune 1000 companies.

Ray graduated with an A.B. with Honors from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. At the Woodrow Wilson School, Ray focused on studying Economics and Public Policy/Politics. Ray has an M.B.A. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.

Ray lives in and loves the city and people of LA, and has a passion for creating positive change for the lowest income members of her community. Ray is a City Commissioner for the Los Angeles Public Housing Authority (which owns or administers all of the City’s Section 8 and Public Housing), and a Board member for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.
